About Me
I'm Amador, and I'm honored to be running for Grant County Commissioner. With over a decade of experience in education and community involvement, I've dedicated myself to fostering connections and empowering individuals from all walks of life. Since my family moved to Moses Lake during my adolescence, I've cultivated deep roots in this community, immersing myself in its vibrant tapestry of cultures and aspirations.
For the past twelve years, I've had the privilege of serving as both a small business owner and an educator. This dual role has provided me with invaluable insights into the needs and aspirations of our community members, young and old alike. Whether in the classroom or in the community, I've always been driven by a passion for nurturing growth and facilitating meaningful connections.
Since its establishment in 2022, I've been proud to contribute to the Vanguard Academy, a beacon of innovation in our educational landscape. As a teacher at Vanguard, I've had the opportunity to champion project-based learning and hands-on experiences, equipping students with the skills they need to thrive in an ever-changing world. It's been incredibly rewarding to witness the transformation of young minds as they embrace creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.
From 2014 to 2021, I had the privilege of serving as an instructor in the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program at Moses Lake High School. JAG's mission to prevent dropouts among at-risk youth resonated deeply with me, and I found great fulfillment in guiding students towards academic success and career readiness. Through mentorship and support, I witnessed firsthand the remarkable resilience and potential of our youth, reinforcing my belief in the power of education to change lives.
As a long-time resident of Moses Lake, I've had the opportunity to witness the immense potential of our county firsthand. From our thriving agricultural sector to our vibrant cultural scene, Grant County is brimming with opportunities for growth and prosperity. If elected as Commissioner, I am committed to leveraging my experience and dedication to serve as a voice for all residents, ensuring that Grant County remains a place where everyone can thrive.

Educational Initiatives and Youth Empowerment
As a teacher at Vanguard Academy since its opening in 2022 and instructor in the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program at Moses Lake High School from 2014 to 2021, I promoted project-based learning and career readiness. These programs equip students with essential life skills, offer opportunities like leadership conferences and competitions, and provide a supportive environment for personal and professional growth.
As President of the Moses Lake-Yonezawa Sister City Program, I oversee a long-standing student exchange initiative that has been enriching our community since 1981. This non-profit program fosters cultural exchange and mutual understanding between our high school students and those from Yonezawa, Japan. We are eagerly preparing for the 2024 Summer Exchange, the first in-person visit since the COVID-19 pandemic.
I actively participated in Governor Inslee’s Poverty Reduction Workgroup in 2018, working to improve the lives of 1.9 million Washingtonians through a strategic plan to reduce poverty and inequality.
National Prayer Breakfast Volunteer
In addition to my local engagements, I have had the privilege of volunteering for the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., in 2015 and 2017. This annual event brings together leaders from various sectors to promote dialogue and understanding, and my involvement has further deepened my commitment to community service and interfaith cooperation.
